Yes! The balloon garland is yours after the session if you choose to keep it. It can last for two weeks. If timed right, you can use it for the birthday party! It is worth every penny!

(Just keep it out of direct sunlight.)

1. Your baby gets to have some fun images before they’re all covered in cake. Bring a nice outfit or even just a tutu or some rolled up jeans!

2. We introduce the cake! Disclaimer: There are times where the baby highly dislikes the cake. That is totally fine! We will get creative. I recommend bringing snacks that appeal to your child. No one will be able to tell if they are eating a cheerio or cake!

3. Bath time!

4. You get to go home while I tidy up!

Bring whatever you want included. You can make your cake smash as simple or elaborate as you would like. I will provide the backdrop, wooden props, O N E letters, wooden slab cake stand, and tub.

-I do not recommend banners with words or big number one balloons indoors. Also, don't worry about shoes for this session. Barefoot is super cute!

-Unless doing a balloon garland, I recommend looking on Amazon for cake smash kits. Then you can reuse the items you purchased for the birthday party. Please have everything ready to go. The pom-pom decorations are very time-consuming.

-Pinterest or looking through my work can be your best friend. It will help you to see what you like and dislike.

The best type of cake to get is vanilla or funfetti spongecake. Light-colored works best for obvious reasons. White buttercream icing is also best since certain colors can be distracting or overly messy. Sprinkles are a cute addition and a cake topper is certainly worth bringing.

Normal smash cakes that you can purchase pre-made at your local grocery store are one-tier. They work perfectly fine. Though, a lot of parents would rather bigger cakes. In that case, I recommend a two or three-tier cake. Take a look through my smash & splash gallery. You will see the difference.

Yes! I love to take photos before your little cutie gets all dirty and full of cake. We will start with the traditional photos, so bring one or two nice outfits.

No, if you would rather a studio session without cake for your one-year-old, just let me know.

Yes! I will absolutely do that or you. Just note, the backdrop is small. Your photos will be tightly cropped. If you are wanting a wide variety of family photos, I would recommend booking an outside session instead of or in addition to.

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 3 weeks.

You don't have to fuss with uploading your session to another website or app or even going into a store to pick up your purchase. I did all of the hard work for you. You just have to add to cart and pay with card at the end.

Your order will automatically get sent to a professional, high-quality lab, instead of printing from a consumer lab like Walmart or CVS. The quality is significantly better because I color calibrate my computer to the lab. It gives a better printed result.

Payment will be collected at the end of your session. I accept cash or check only.
